Volunteers Needed

Before we get into the details, we would like to extend our thanks once again to everyone that has supported the Cambodian Christian Reformed Church, financially and spiritually, through the recent events that has transpired.

Two Sundays ago, we had an emergency meeting for everyone in the congregation. Pastor Charlie asked us if we should keep the building up and work on remodeling it, or if we should take the building down and build the church from the ground up. With a majority of the vote, nearly 95%, it was decided that the building would indeed be demolished.

Now, we would like to extend an invitation to those that would like to help our congregation bring the house down. If you have any knowledge on construction and would like to lend a helping hand, please use the form below or call Pastor Charlie Phim at (801) 755-5742. If you decide to call Pastor Charlie, please provide the following information in the form to him.

We thank God for giving us the strength and encouragement to move forward with the progression of the Build-HIS-Church project. I think a particular quote from one of Max Lucado's pamphlets titled "How Hurts Bring Hope" describes what we're doing, best. Lucado said,

"The answer is found in making a choice. Choosing to concentrate on the hurt, or choosing to have faith in the Healer. To hide in the shadows of hurt, or to walk in the light with the Savior."

This really holds true to our congregation. Rather than seeing the arson as a bad thing, we look at the positives that it brings us such as bringing our congregation together; and bringing the church together brings us closer to our Heavenly Father.

Once again, thank you for all the support that you have shown our church and please continue to pray for us. "Blessed those that are pure of heart, for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8
